January favourites

Oh biscuits! I've decided to have a monthly favourites post on anything new I've liked at that time. So far in 2013 I have loved using a new teacup I was given for Christmas by Kristi at wellhellothere. Lots of cute touches to it like the 'top up?' question at the bottom (not that I need reminding) It's by Disaster Designs and even came in a box to match.

Next is a set of notebooks by Cath Kidston which are quite a handy size to keep in your bag. I recently used them to do some Valentines card designs (coming soon) I like how each one has a different layout inside - one with lines, one with graph paper and one with dots, like you have on pattern making paper.

Lastly was my Casio watch which looks good accompanied with some colourful bracelets. I know I mixed silver with gold but I don't caaaare! I was feeling a bit crazy.  

Fashion blog fail

I wanted to take advantage of the sunny weather while there was still some snow around but I didn't end up with that many usable photos. However, here are some that came out ok. 

I tried out some wellies I've had for years but never had the opportunity to wear. They're babycham with a cassette player pattern.

Here is one of the fail parts:

Stuff like that kept happening so I think I need a bit more practice at setting up a good scene. I've thrown in some photos of Duke 'helping' me do some work on the computer. He looks very amused with himself. 

Cats in the snow

Exploring the snow in my back garden with a few kitty comrades.

This is Marmalade - the craziest and most adventurous brother.

This is Duke who wimped out and stayed inside for the most part.

Lastly, Bumble who can be quite adventurous too.

Marmalade begins to disappear into the snow. 

He gets ready to pounce onto Bumble - 

But is spotted before he can make the attack.

Duke makes an appearance.

Their paws get lost in the snow!

Oh its him again...

I hope it snows again so I can get some more photos of them :)

My little design updates

Recently I have had the urge to design some patterns. I put together some drawings and images I had scanned into my computer to see if anything interesting resulted. 

Had a look to see how a set of notebooks would appear. 

Then had a go at a more fun/masculine pattern.
